Trade Decks are booths in the marketplaces (two marketplaces: one near Town Hall, another near the Tavern) which allow you to buy and sell items with Coins.

Trade Decks let you sell items when you're not around to do it by hand. You can 'stock' a trade deck with what you want to sell, set its cost (in Gold Coins) and other players can make the transaction on the public-facing side of the trade decks.

You can sell unique items like things you've crafted, or sell stacks of resources. So, bundles of 10 logs for 5 coins, say.

How to use

To book a Trade Deck, you have to pay the Trade Deck. You can stock coins in the gold coin slot, and the trade deck will consume one every two hours to keep operating for you. A gauge above the slot will show how long before the next coin is consumed.

The lever on the back will allow you to adjust how much of each item you wish to sell for your given price.

Your items will be dispensed under three conditions.

  1. If you pull the lever next to the gold coin slot. Any earnings, stock, and stored tax payments, will be dropped at the Trade Deck.
  2. If it's time to pay tax, and there's no more coins stored for that, all your outstanding items will be sent to your post box.
  3. If it's time to pay tax, you still have coins to pay tax, but you're out of stock, the items will be sent to your post box.

The first option, pulling the lever, will close your occupation of the store. Allowing someone else to take it up.

Earnings can be found on the right side of the Trade Deck, if your Trade Deck is still operational and hasn't dumped everything to your post box.

If you want your earnings, it's probably best NOT to use the lever, but taking the earnings from the dock instead.

Postbox

Postboxes can be found in two places around town. What they store are per player, based off trade deck usage right now. Simply pull it open, and it will spit out what you're due. If the flag is up, it means you have something to collect. If it's down, it's empty. You can't individually select what to extract from the post box, you have to keep extracting until there's nothing left.

Notes

(from 0.0.27.0 release notes: "As a gift from us, there's 20 Gold Coins in there to get you going")

A Coin Press can be used to generate coins from Gold Ingots. The current exchange rate is 1 Gold Ingot = 5 Gold Coins.
