0.0.35.0 was released on the 25th of June 2019 and was succeeded by 0.0.36.0.

Changes

0.0.35.0 provided the following changes:

  • Screenshot Camera added to the game.
    • The camera can be accessed via your Quick Access Menu at any time.
      • Anybody can use this camera, it is not a craftable, nor does it take up inventory.
    • The camera will float wherever you let go of it, and disappear if you move to far.
    • INPUTS FOR TAKING A SCREENSHOT:
      • Vive/WMR: When held, hold the 'grip' button. The same button you would normally double-tap to toggle hold an item.
      • Index: When held, hold down the trigger.
      • Oculus: Hold the trigger, and then press down the joystick. (This is a bug, it should be like the Index but it will be fixed soon.)
      • Images are taken by default at 1920x1080. (See in-game Main Menu for Camera Settings to change this.)
      • If something went wrong, the viewfinder will flash red. Let us know on Discord if this keeps happening.
    • Images can be found at this directory:
      • %AppData%\A Township Tale\Screenshots
      • You can copy/paste the above to get straight there.
      • We will be adding an easy way to get there from the launcher in the future!
    • Front/Rear Facing Camera Toggle
      • Swaps between a front and back facing camera on the feed.
    • Timer
      • Allows for 2, 5, and 10 seconds of delay.
    • Cast to Desktop Feature
      • This lets you display your camera's feed on the desktop display that would normally show your perspective.
      • Doing so does increase the resolution of the in-game camera display, so you may feel a performance hit.
      • This might be good for anyone wanting some extra control streaming, but note that if you're tapping straight into your HDMI output feed for your headset, this won't change anything for you.
    • Remote Control
      • The cylinder beneath the camera can be used to trigger the camera from a distance, uses the same inputs as you would to normally take a picture.
      • This item doesn't display on your camera feed when you take a picture.
    • Added Camera Settings in Main Menu
      • Various resolution settings.
      • Enable/Disable Remote Camera display. (If you don't want someone else holding a camera to ever affect your perf in any way, keep this disabled, but you won't be able to see their viewfinder.)

  • Fixed issue causing server to not send updates to players for a short duration after another players disconnect.
  • Assembling stream packets for players now occurs in parallel rather than in series.
  • Streaming entities that have not been modified for a while now check less frequently (1/4 of the time) for modifications.
  • Duplicate blacksmith moulds added to the blacksmith's now replace old ones from existence.
  • Updated the Timeline system to use a more reliable numerical type for longer running servers.
  • Fixed issue causing potential packet drops.
  • Reduced unnecessary re-rendering of map boards.
  • Improvements to velocity calculations for walkers (Spriggull/Gotera).
  • Improvements to velocity calculations for page finding animation.
  • Exploit fix for playspace movement.
    • Should still allow some tweaking via playspace, but nothing crazy anymore.
  • Fixed issue where a specific rotation control setup could not be loaded properly in the Main Menu.
  • Fixed frozen hand when holding a bow while smooth rotating.
  • Storing of lanterns on bags/shelves/chests now properly extinguishes them.
  • Reducing hunger decrease rate, by about half.
  • Fixed issue with toggle grab for Oculus Touch controllers.
  • Added setting for haptic strength multiplier, to save up on Oculus batteries.
  • Fixed eyes not blinking or rotating.
  • Reduced spawn rate of small shields.
  • Reduced tree chopping requirement of Tutorial.
  • Reduced mining requirement of Tutorial.
