The Sai is a type of baton weapon found as a Legendary Loot item in The World, primarily the Camps region, but rarely also in the Mines. This weapon is a direct recreation of a real Sai (釵). It's a traditional melee weapon used in Okinawa. The basic form of the weapon is that of a blunted, prong shaped metal baton, with two curved prongs (yoku) projecting from the handle (tsuka).

Obtaining

Sais are primarily found in the Chests within the Camps, though also within Chests on Cave Structures in the Mines, as well as in various Chests found in the Overworld.

Though the existing Sai cannot be crafted, a Sai Blade can be crafted through the process of Mould Crafting.

Use

Apart from acting as a weapon used to attack an opponent, there is a way to use the weapon most effectively. The Sais can be used alone, or more effectively in a pair. Striking an opponent by using thrusting and stabbing motions are the most effective way of attacking. Sais are also good at defending: due to their prongs, they can help block incoming attacks.
